We Believe in the Power of Sport

The first of Athletic Republic’s Core values is ‘We believe in the Power of Sport’. I have always interpreted that statement through the lessons playing sports teaches us to live better. By playing sports we learn the life-long skills of persistence and preparation, how to win with dignity and lose with honor, how to lead as well as how to follow, how to challenge our limits and face our fears, and how to be a good teammate.

Our beliefs in the transformative power of sport have been confirmed in a new study lead by the Women’s Sports Foundation that shows the impact youth sport participation has had on women’s leadership development.
