Athletic Republic athlete, Caleb Williams, leverages his
sports performance training to gain a leg up on the competition.
Williams positions himself as the most dynamic college QB in 2021!
This past weekend shocked the college football scene, but it was no surprise to us that our very own, Athletic Republic (AR) athlete, Caleb Williams, played one of the greatest games in college football history. This weekend’s stunning performance by Oklahoma Sooners', back-up quarterback, Caleb Williams, was enough to take down Texas with a 55-48 comeback victory on Saturday at the Cotton Bowl (Oct. 9th 2021). His father and co-owner of Washington, D.C.’s Athletic Republic Capitol Region, Carl Williams, and the entire AR team worldwide could not be more proud and excited to watch his performance and growth as an athlete.
ESPN describes Saturday’s game as “An incredible rally, an unreal catch and the wildest Red River Showdown ever”. All Williams did was throw for 211 yards, rushed for 88 more, and produced three touchdowns against Texas to run up the most total offense by an Oklahoma true freshman. What is more inspiring was watching his natural team leadership as he stepped in mid-game and led his teammates to victory.
Caleb Williams, son of Carl Williams, has had the privilege of leveraging their family owned sports performance training facility, Athletic Republic, located in District Heights, Maryland. Athletic Republic Capitol Region is a sports performance training center notable for producing top collegiate recruits (like Caleb) and other professional athletes, but it's much more than a gym. It’s also a community resource that provides a destination, and outlet, for athletes in the area to strive for performance transformation and also prides itself in building character in their local athletes. It’s the result of the vision of its three owners--Carl Williams, Mark McCain, and Russell Thomas. Carl trained here with sports performance coach, Mark McCain and one of his QB trainers, Russell Thomas.

Like other AR athletes that come out of our program, Caleb and his trainers focused on building speed, stamina, power, stability and strength, positioning himself to become the best athlete he could; and it shows. Caleb embodies the AR Values of “believing in the power of sport” and being the best competitor possible. Caleb states, “I dread losing. I like breaking records, I like winning championships, and I hate losing”. This drives his commitment on and off the field in what will surely be an amazing football career. He is grateful for his experience with Gonzaga High School and Athletic Republic, and speaks often of how thankful he is for dedicated parents for helping him accomplish his dreams.
“I’m very grateful for the sacrifice my parents have made for me. I wouldn’t be here without them.” ~ Caleb Williams

The AR family are some of Caleb’s biggest fans, and we’ll be here continuing to cheer for him every game! Athletic Republic CEO, Charlie Graves, shares that Sports have the power to change the world, “It has the power to inspire, the power to unite people in a way that little else does. Caleb embodies the quality of athletes (and humans) that come out of our program everyday; and we are very proud”. The future starts now.
